The center offers the complete range of refractive treatments approved by the FDA and its founder and director, Dr. Ming Wang, M.D.,Ph.D., has successfully performed thousands of refractive procedures, such as LASIK, PRK, CK and intraocular lens procedures.

Dr. Wang is considered the "doctors' doctor", having performed LASIK on physicians, including ophthalmologists and optometrists. The center is one of the busiest referral centers for management of refractive surgery complications in the US.

Dr. Wang is a graduate of Harvard/MIT (magna cum laude) who also earned a Ph.D. in laser spectroscopy. He received his residency training in Ophthalmology at the world renowned Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. Dr. Wang is at the forefront in the development of novel anterior segment eye reconstructive surgeries to restore vision in those with severely limited vision.

To this end, he created the Wang Foundation, a non-profit organization to aid those in need of eye surgeries for corneal blindness and other eye diseases. As the principle investigator of an NIH grant, his US patent and research on the amniotic contact lens resulted in the establishment of EyeVU, a biotech company that he co-founded with Vanderbilt. Its purpose was the successful development of the world's first amniotic contact lens which may revolutionize the care for corneal trauma-caused blindness.
